I was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Florida when I was fifteen years old. I went on to receive my bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida International University and my master’s degree in management from Harvard University. I really enjoy traveling and visiting new places and creating new memories! When I am not at work you can find me outdoors somewhere enjoying nature.

I have over 11 years of experience in the insurance industry and yet I am pleased to learn something new every single day. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL and I went to college and received my degree in business administration. The best part about my job is guiding my customers towards picture-perfect coverage for themselves and their families. I love helping folks find the right plan to save them money. There is no better feeling than being able to lower a clients premium to save some hard-earned cash!

On a more personal note, I am an avid basketball player with a shot that rivals Michael Jordan. When I am not working, you can certainly find me spending time with my wife, daughter, and 2 boys. Most of my friends know that I am a total foodie and coffee addict. I love to try new restaurants and coffee shops whenever I can! I also like to show support for the wonderful organizations in our area like St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital and Doctors Without Borders.

My experience in the insurance industry has led me to be well versed in all things commercial! If you need general liability, commercial property, workers compensation, professional liability and all other forms of commercial insurance, I’m your go-to! What most excites me about my work is that every client and every risk is different. I love being able to offer my clients peace of mind knowing that in the event they will need it, they are insured and covered! I grew up in the quaint little town of Mattituck, New York, where everyone knows everyone and life is simple and sweet.

I really enjoy spending time with my family, if you get to know me you’ll learn that I cannot stop talking about how great my daughter is! My favorite way to spend a weekend is out on my boat with my family, cruising the beautiful turquoise waters and feeling the warmth of our bright Florida sun! I also hate to admit it, but I constantly catch myself binge-watching terrible reality tv shows!

I have been in the insurance industry for over ten years now! For most people, properties, cars, health, and business are the most expensive assets they own and I have the pleasure of being able to protect their most prized possessions with insurance! I love continuously learning so I went to college and received my degree in business! I grew up in Chicago and also spent many years in the state of Ohio, and now reside in Florida. I am well-traveled! I really enjoy spending time with my family as we are constantly entertaining each other and never have a dull moment!

If I’m not at work, I’m probably spending time with my boys! On the weekends I’m usually at the baseball field watching my son have fun doing what he loves. I also really enjoy playing sports myself, and when I have some added free time I’ll head down to the court or soccer field and let my inner-child come out! I also volunteer to help the less fortunate whenever I can, and also assist with the Women’s Shelter and Orphanage Organizations!

I grow up in the northern suburbs of Chicago but currently reside here in sunny Florida. I am certainly a fan of the warmer weather! I am also a graduate of Florida International University–Go Panthers! While I am not working directly with customers, I am a numbers person so I enjoy checking to make sure that all invoices are received and paid to the correct companies. My job can be very tedious but I love it! Being detailed-oriented is something I am good at and crunching numbers can be very fulfilling.

When I am not working, you can certainly find me traveling and exploring new destinations. Something many of my friends know is that I have an addiction to coffee and chocolate (separate or together)!!! Othwerise, I can certainly be found empowering today’s youth by volunteering my time at local charities and nonprofits.

I was born in Colombia but raised by my amazing mother in sunny South Florida.  I enjoy all things outdoors and love to just be outside with my family to enjoy and experience nature. I put a high priority on family time and I am thankful for every second we spend together. Our customers might not know, but I am a singing machine! I am always singing along to music, especially in the car. I’m pretty good if I do say so myself! My wife doesn’t agree but she’s just jealous. Windows up or down a carpool karaoke session is always a good time. If I’m not at work, I’m most likely with my beautiful wife and amazing daughter. I’m a big family person and love spending time with our large extended family.

My family and I truly believe in giving back to the community. We volunteer our time to local nonprofit organizations such as Youth Environmental Alliance and Leaders Recognizing Leaders.

Dave Beans

I grew up here in Plantation, FL! Spent my first year in college at Nova Southeastern and transferred to Broward College, where I look to continue my bachelor’s in Accounting. I had no insurance experience until coming to Insurance Medics. My prior experience in Commercial Real Estate allowed me to fit right into our Commercial Renewal team! I love finding solutions to satisfy the needs of our Business Owners! Having extra hands on our growing renewal team makes our experience simple for our clients and ourselves.

As the oldest of 3, I am always with my little sisters! Spending most of my time with my loved ones, whether that’s a simple grill day or movie night! On the weekend, and if I’m not home with the family, I’m flying around on a jet ski somewhere.

David Daniel Baynas

I grew up in the Philippines. Regarding my professional career, I was a customer support representative for a Mobile Insurance company before I joined Insurance Medics. What I most enjoy about my job is the experience and knowledge I can gather – and the inclination to protect and insure our client’s assets and property.

Personally, I enjoy Baseball, and Tabletop Games (RPG, Wargames, etc…) are my main hobbies, and although I have plenty of other interests, these two take up most of my free time. I like making manuals and editing existing documents to make them look more aesthetically pleasing yet functional and easy to navigate. I also like to collect polyhedral dice. On the weekends, I’m either jogging around town, playing board games with my cousins, or writing an instructional manual.

Jan Bernard Aves

I grew up in the Philippines and I had an educational experience that others might find interesting, I did most of it outside the school settings, through involvement programs like volunteer activities. I was introduced to insurance because my father is a district manager for an insurance company in the Philippines, and for some time in my college years, I worked for him as a secretary. I truly saw that I would enjoy being involved in the industry more. What excites me about my job is helping the customers feel safe and also the relationship with my colleagues! They are very helpful and approachable. No one hesitates to reach out a helping hand if needed, promoting an environment that only makes all of us do well in our jobs.

I really enjoy playing basketball, talking about basketball , watching a basketball game – you what they say, Ball Is Life. A fun fact about me is that I know how to sing, at. least that’s what they say haha. On the weekends, you’ll find me hanging out with friends, and playing basketball. But I sometimes do some volunteer activities, especially during Christmas with the feeding progran.

My name is Angelo Alfafara, and I work in Personal Auto Insurance Customer Support at Insurance Medics. I grew up in Cebu, Philippines, in a city called Maguikay, and I am currently working from the same place.

I began working in auto insurance on February 20, 2025, and all of my insurance training and experience has come directly from Insurance Medics.

What excites me most about my work is helping people. Being able to solve an issue, ease a difficult situation, or hear someone sigh in relief makes the job feel truly worthwhile. I especially enjoy taking calls, and I find the most satisfaction when I can work through a complex problem or help smooth over tension for a customer.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing Magic: The Gathering and serving as the Dungeon Master for my friends during our bi-monthly Dungeons & Dragons sessions, which is one of my favorite creative outlets.

Carmen Claire ‘Kaye’ A. Alfafara

My name is Carmen Claire “Kaye” Alfafara, and I work in Customer Support for Home Insurance at Insurance Medics. I grew up in Lutopan, Toledo City, Cebu Province, Philippines, and have lived in Cebu City since 1988. I am a Philippine-registered nurse, and my professional experience spans broadcasting, communications, marketing, development work, and now home insurance.

I joined the insurance industry in September 2024, focusing on home insurance customer support, including managing emails across clients, internal teams, insurance carriers, and lienholders. What excites me most is ensuring clients’ coverage stays active, tracking due dates, and coordinating seamlessly to provide timely solutions. My work is guided by professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to client satisfaction.

I support agents by managing documents, tracking signatures, and uploading everything accurately to carriers’ systems. I am a licensed Life/Health Insurance Agent in my country and a certified IMS Biller Trainer.

This is my first experience working in the insurance industry, and I am part of the Auto Insurance department. What excites me most about my work is the day-to-day process of gathering information from client policies and entering it accurately into our system to generate the correct renewal prices. I grew up in Kingston, Jamaica, and I have lived and worked in the Broward area for over 25 years, serving clients across Florida. I hold a Master’s in Health Administration and a Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems, along with certifications in coaching, leadership, and ministry. This combination of education and experience allows me to bring both practical expertise and a people-centered approach to my work.

I have 1.5 years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in residential property insurance. What excites me most is helping clients feel confident, informed, and supported as they navigate insurance decisions. My name is Michele Rickert, and I am a Commercial Specialist with Insurance Medics. I am originally from a suburb of Detroit, Michigan, and now reside in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where I have lived for the past ten years. I hold an Associate Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sign Language Interpreting.

I began my insurance career in 2000 as a Claims Assistant for an MGA in Michigan and worked my way up to Claims Adjuster and Underwriter. Over the years, I have gained experience with both MGAs and retail agents, specializing in all lines of Commercial Insurance. What excites me most about my work is finding solutions that meet our insureds’ needs and ensuring that what matters most to them is fully protected.

I currently hold my Florida 2-20 Property and Casualty General Lines Agent License, have completed pre-licensing for the Florida 2-15 Life, Health, and Variable Annuities Insurance Agent license, and am working toward completing the CISR program with two remaining classes.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and taking advantage of Florida’s beautiful weather. Every day in this career is different, and I love the variety and challenge that come with helping our clients protect their businesses.

My name is Rizza Shane Reyes, and I work in Customer Service at Insurance Medics. I was born and raised in the Philippines and have recently moved back to my province. Life here is slower, and I especially enjoy the fresh morning air, which I consider one of the best parts of living here.

Before joining Insurance Medics, I worked as a customer support representative for a software company, where I also gained experience in team management, assisting supervisors with team coordination and addressing work-related concerns. While I do not yet have direct experience in the insurance industry, I am excited to learn and grow in this field.

My name is Robyn, and I am the Executive Assistant at Insurance Medics. I was born and raised in the Philippines and am currently based in Cebu City, where I work with communities across the Visayas and Mindanao. As a Registered Nurse, my work is rooted in public health, community care, and humanitarian response, fueled by compassion and curiosity.

While I do not come from a traditional insurance background, my experience as a nurse and healthcare administrator has given me extensive exposure to insurance verification, eligibility checks, and complex documentation. This has made me comfortable navigating policies, untangling details, and helping others make sense of the fine print.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with a book in hand, lost in whimsical fantasy worlds. If I’m not reading, I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring and seeking small adventures. My name is Zachary Morris, and I am a Customer Service Representative at Insurance Medics. I grew up in Cooper City and still live there today, and I have lived in the South Florida area my entire life.

I have worked in commercial insurance for roughly five years. In my role as a CSR, I hold the basic insurance licenses required for my position and support clients with their policy needs.

What I enjoy most about my work is the opportunity to improve an insured’s coverage or help lower their premium. Being able to make those positive changes is where I find the most satisfaction.

I also enjoy the time I spend working with my coworkers, which is an important part of my day-to-day experience at Insurance Medics.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending my weekends watching professional wrestling, which is one of my favorite ways to relax.

I grew up in sunny South Florida, where I learned to appreciate warmth—not just in the weather, but in the way people connect and support one another. I take pride in guiding clients through auto insurance decisions with clarity and care. My goal is to make insurance simple, approachable, and tailored to each person’s needs, so they can feel secure on the road and in life.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, relaxing at home with my cat, or recharging during quiet weekends with a good book or a walk. I also dedicate time to volunteering with organizations that support people in need, including refugees who are starting over with just a few belongings. Helping others, both in and out of the office is what drives me!
